Aao Saiyo Ral Deyo Ni Vadhaai (Bulleh Shah)

Aao saiyo ral deyo ni vadhaai,
MaeN var paaiya raaNjha maahi.

Friends, come and tell me I'm lucky.
My lover has come to marry me.

Ahj taaN roz mubaarak chaRiya,
RaaNjha saaDe vehde vadiya.
Hath khuNDi, mondhe kaMbal dhariya,
ChaakaaN vaali shakal banaai.
Aao saiyo ral deyo ni vadhaai.

The day of greetings has arrived.
My lover in my courtyard has arrived.
In his hand he has a staff.
A blanket covers his shoulders.
So humble and lowly he looks.
Friends, come and tell me I'm lucky.

MukaT gaoowaaN de vich rulda,
JaNgal joohaaN de vich rulda,
Hai koi allah de val bhulda,
Asal haqeeqat khabar na kaai,
Aao saiyo ral deyo ni vadhaai.

His crown rolls among the cattle.
In pastures and forests he wanders.
Could anyone tell he's the Lord?
No one can tell who really he is.
Friends, come and tell me I'm lucky.

Bulhe Shah ik sauda keeta,
Peeta, zeher piyaala peeta,
Na kujh laha ToTa leeta,
Dard dukhaaN di gaTHaRi chaai,
Aao saiyo ral deyo ni vadhai.

Bulleh Shah says this:
I struck a deal with him -
I drank a cup of poison for him.
I didn't care for the loss or gains.
I didn't care for the grief or pains.
Friends, come and tell me I'm lucky.
